Eating This for Breakfast Every Morning Help You Lose Weight Faster Than You Expect!
Breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day. It should be nutritious and rich as it provides our body with the energy we need. Furthermore, a healthy breakfast can also boost your digestion and metabolism, effectively promoting weight loss.
According to a recent study which was trying to find the perfect breakfast meal, oatmeal works best for starting the day. The study involved 36 participants divided into 3 groups – all the groups consumed 350 calories during the day. They had either oatmeal, cornflakes or water for breakfast and ate the same lunch. The subjects were asked to write down their satiety levels every 3 hours, and their blood was analyzed for glucose and insulin levels. The group of people who ate oatmeal for breakfast consumed 31% less calories for lunch, and almost never experienced cravings. Oatmeal was even more beneficial for the overweight people in the study, who ate 50% less calories for lunch.
The people who ate cornflakes were hungry after 2-3 hours, just like the ones who drank only water. This means that oatmeal is slowly digested and stays in our body for longer, meaning that it can control our glucose levels and keep us full for longer.
Oats are definitely the perfect breakfast meal. They will keep you full until lunch, and can be either consumed raw, added to meals or dessert and offer numerous health benefits as well. Here are some of them:
Reduce cravings
Oats are rich in fiber which will boost your digestion and metabolism and keep you satiated until the next meal. This means that they will help you avoid cravings and indulging in unhealthy snacks.
Regulate your blood pressure
Oats contain fiber, lignans and other compounds which can reduce high blood pressure and maintain it afterwards.
Regulate your cholesterol levels
The fiber in oatmeal can bind to fat particles in the body and regulate your cholesterol levels. In this way, oats can reduce the risk of several cardiovascular problems.
Assist in the prevention of cancer
According to one study, consuming oats for breakfast may play a role in the reduction of colon, breast and ovarian cancer.
