How to Get Rid of Bumps on Arms

1. Exfoliation
Regular exfoliation process may help you to get rid of these little bumps. This exfoliation can be done mechanically or by chemical peeling of skin. Even though mechanical exfoliation does not involve any active chemicals but it may irritate the skin.

Exfoliation helps in removing dead skin cells from the surface of skin including extra pile over follicles and releases trapped hair.

It has to be done regularly and you can see visible improvement within weeks. This process also gives you smooth and clear skin.

2. Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is one of the best natural remedy for any type of skin and it also helps to get rid of bumps on your arms. It contains number of anti oxidants and fatty acids which helps to penetrate into your skin and nourishes it from deep inside.

You can see lot of improvement in keratosis pilaris by using coconut oil on affected area. It also helps to overcome the dryness of skin and it is better to opt slightly heated coconut oil for this problem.

Simply you can take extra virgin coconut oil in a pan and heat it, make sure the temperature of oil is comfortable on your skin.

Take this oil and massage it on the affected area for about 15-20 minutes and then wash it with plain water.

One table spoon of sugar or brown sugar

What You Need to do?

Heat the oil by adding sugar in it.

Apply this oil in circular motion on affected area before and after bath and peel it off and rinse with water.

3. Apple cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is acidic in nature which helps to maintain PH levels of skin. Its astringents properties are effective in unclogging the pores from excess keratin.

You need

2 table spoon of apple cider vinegar

2 table spoons of water

What you need to do?

Mix equal parts of both the ingredients, soak a cotton ball in it. Apply this solution on the affected area and make sure you do not rub the area with this solution.

After applying the solution on the skin let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes and then wash with normal water.

Repeat it for 2-3 times daily to see unimaginable results on your skin.

4. Yogurt

Yogurt is another effective remedy to get rid of small bumps on arms, even though it is unable to clear the condition completely but it may help you to reduce the bumps with regular use.

Because of its moisturizing properties, it helps in preventing skin dryness.

You need

2 table spoons of yogurt

Apply some yogurt on the affected skin area and massage it for 1 minute, then let it remain for 10-15 minutes and wash it with normal water.

Note

Do not wash it with soap, cleanser or scrubber on this area.

5. Baking Soda and Salt
Baking soda helps in exfoliating the skin and unclogging the pores of the skin. Baking soda has a mild chemical action while salt has abrasive power.

You need

Two table spoons of baking soda

Two table spoons of salt

Required amount of water

What you need to do?

Mix all the ingredients to form a paste and apply it on the affected area and rub it for 2-3 minutes.

Let it remain for 10 minutes and rinse it off, repeat this 2-3 times in a week.

6. Olive Oil
Olive oil is considered as a natural moisturizer for your skin and helps to remove unsightly bumps on your skin.

You need

2 table spoons of olive oil.

What you need to do?

Take some lukewarm oil in your hands and rub it over the affected area in circular motion for about 10 minutes.

Rinse it off with water and then apply light moisturizer on the skin.

Repeat this regularly until you get beneficial results.

7. Fish Oil
Fish oil contain high amount of omega 3 fatty acids which will help you to nourish your skin and help to get rid of conditions like chicken skin.

Fishes like salmon and mackerel contain high content of uric acid helpful for invigorating the natural process of exfoliation of skin and get rid of bumps on your arms.

You need

2 table spoons of fish oil

What you need to do?

Take some amount of fish oil and apply it on the affected area for some time and rinse it water.

You can also take supplements of fish but do consult your doctor before taking it as a supplement.

8. Vitamin A
In some cases, deficiency of vitamin A may be the reason for rising bumps on your arms. Vitamin A contains retinol which helps to prevent hair follicles from getting plugged up.

Vitamin A is essential for maintaining healthy skin and reduces inflammation causes due to keratosis pilaris.

Get vitamin A capsules and make it a paste by adding some water to it. Apply this on affected area and remain it for 10 minutes and wash it with normal water.

Avoid going in to the sun after applying this paste, because the skin becomes highly photosensitive.

9. Balanced Diet
Balanced diet may help you to get rid of skin problems. Drink plenty of water and consume foods which are rich in omega 3 fatty acids like fish supplements and nuts.
